Layout form, working principle and classification of air conditioning water system

The classification methods of air conditioning water systems are diverse and rich. If classified according to the layout and working principle of pipelines, they can usually be summarized into the following main types:

1. From a principle perspective, it can be divided into closed loop and open loop. The piping system of the closed-loop system is completely isolated from the atmosphere, and an expansion tank is installed at the highest point of the system, equipped with exhaust and drainage devices. When the air conditioning system uses fan coil units, inducers, and water-cooled surface coolers for cooling, the cold water system is more suitable for a closed system. In addition, high-rise buildings should also adopt closed systems due to their high requirements for system stability and safety

2. There is a water storage tank (or pool) between the pipelines of the open cycle system, which is connected to the atmosphere. In the case of self flowing return water, the pipelines will be directly connected to the atmosphere. When the air conditioning system uses a spray chamber to cool the air, an open system can better meet its needs, so it is advisable to use an open system

3. If divided by the number of supply and return water pipelines, there are two pipes, three pipes, and four pipes. A two pipe water system refers to a system where the cooling and heating systems share the same supply and return pipes, with only one supply and one return pipe for the entire system

The three pipe water system is equipped with three water pipes: cooling pipeline, heating pipeline, and heat exchange equipment pipeline. The return pipes for cold and hot water are shared
