In oil and gas recovery equipment, when oil and gas are cooled in the evaporator, the evaporation temperature of the refrigerant is too low. When the surface temperature of the evaporator copper tube is lower than the freezing point of water under load, it will freeze on the evaporator surface, which will block our airflow channel and cause ice jam in serious cases. In order to prevent this from happening, we should control the evaporation temperature of the refrigerant. This simple measure is to add a hot gas bypass valve between the condenser and the evaporator. When the evaporation pressure is low to a certain degree, the hot gas bypass valve will be opened.
In many air conditioning and refrigeration systems, the hot gas bypass valve provides a practical, economical and reliable energy regulation solution. It is especially suitable for compressors without their own energy adjustment mechanism. When the evaporator is under low load, it can better maintain the suction pressure and prevent the evaporator from freezing; Maintain better oil return performance.
Hot gas bypass valve is a kind of mechanical device which uses the balance principle of refrigerant pressure and spring force to control the inlet/outlet pressure. As an energy regulation, the hot gas bypass valve can provide a means to keep the system working normally at a given low suction pressure by bypassing the high-pressure refrigerant to the low-pressure side of the system.
When the refrigeration system is under low load, the evaporation pressure can be effectively controlled by means of energy adjustment, and the following can be prevented:
1. The system starts and stops frequently.
2. The compressor runs below the designed return air pressure.

As a means of energy regulation, hot gas bypass can bypass the high-temperature gaseous refrigerant at the high-pressure end to the low-pressure end of the system; So as to ensure that the system always runs at a given minimum return air pressure. Two methods of hot gas bypass:
1. Directly bypass to the gas return end.
2. Bypass to the inlet of evaporator The hot gas bypass valve is opened when the low pressure is less than the set value and closed when it is higher than the set value, and the set value is adjustable.
Generally, ADRHE-6 can unload about 30 horses, ADRP/E3 can unload about 12 horses, ADRS/E2 can unload about 6 horses, and ADRI/1-1/4 can unload about 2 horses.
