With an investment of 1.2 billion yuan, the key construction project in the Zhoushan National Ocean Fishery Base-Ocean Family Marine Food Processing and Cold Storage Logistics Base is in full swing and will be put into trial operation in November next year. By then, the level of intelligence and modernization of the base will be at the forefront of the country.
At the construction site of the project, workers are installing the steel structure wall panels of the tuna sorting center, and the tuna raw material cold storage is also simultaneously carrying out equipment pipe welding. "At present, 60% of the civil construction of the project has been completed, and it is planned to be completed in October next year and start trial operation in November." Zhang Jie, the site manager for the entire consultation process of the project, told reporters that the current major points of the project are progressing smoothly: the scale of minus 10,000 tons 57℃ ultra-low temperature cold storage, the current civil structure construction is steadily advancing; currently the province's single cold storage has the highest height, the largest storage, and the highest degree of automation raw material cold storage and finished product cold storage, currently entering the construction of exterior wall decorative panels and internal intelligent thermal insulation projects.
"After the project is completed, it is expected to form a production agglomeration capacity with an annual processing capacity of more than 150,000 tons of tuna, more than 50,000 tons of various aquatic products, an annual output of 3.5 billion yuan, and an export of more than 200 million U.S. dollars." Project staff member Shao Lirong introduced that the construction of the project will not only help improve the enterprise’s own industrial chain structure of “fishing-refrigeration-processing-distribution”, realize the optimization and upgrade of products and channels, and will also form a strong regional brand and industry agglomeration advantage. Zhoushan has become a major tuna processing and trading center in the world, enhancing the status of Zhoushan and China's aquatic product processing industry in the global supply chain.
