How was the compressor damaged? You need to be alert to these six situations

1. Wiring error caused the secondary coil to burn out

There is only one correct wiring method for compressors: C-M-S, while the other five wiring methods are incorrect. If operated improperly, it can cause damage to the compressor, resulting in unnecessary losses. General wiring errors can cause the secondary coil to burn out.

2. Leakage of refrigerant causing motor overheating

The air conditioning system has experienced a decrease in refrigerant due to leakage. Such long-term operation, on the one hand, causes the heat generated by the motor to be unable to be carried out by the refrigerant; On the other hand, excessive intake temperature leads to a corresponding increase in exhaust temperature, which in turn causes an increase in compressor motor temperature.

When the temperature exceeds 135 º C, R22 begins to thermally decompose, generating acid and water. It will also cause the carbon in the refrigeration oil to dissociate and form carbon deposits.latest company case about How was the compressor damaged? 3. Insufficient system oil return causing jamming

The refrigeration oil plays a lubricating role in the compressor, which can effectively prevent the wear of mechanical components in the pump body. And its oil seal function can maintain the pressure difference between high and low pressures. In addition, due to the continuous circulation of the refrigeration oil, it can also timely remove the heat generated between the friction surfaces.

A portion of the refrigeration oil inside the compressor is discharged into the system along with the refrigerant. The discharged oil dissolves in the liquid refrigerant in the condenser; As it enters the evaporator, it gradually separates from the refrigerant and is transferred to the pipe wall or becomes mist, returning to the compressor together with the gas. However, if the refrigerant oil cannot return smoothly after being discharged from the compressor, it will cause poor lubrication and ultimately lead to excessive wear on the friction surface.

Possible defects that may occur due to poor oil reflux:

Poor lubrication leads to wear and jamming of moving parts;

Reduced compressor capacity;

Overheating.

The main reasons for poor oil reflux are:

Excessive refrigerant leads to an increase in oil discharge;

Improper piping (piping too long, large diameter);

Operating under extremely low temperature conditions;

Short interval between intermittent operation;

Low refrigerant circulation and low pressure;

Improper capillary tube;

4. Abnormal voltage causes the motor to be fully heated

Many motors have uniform overheating of the main or secondary coils, which differs significantly from the inter turn short circuit of the motor itself. Uniform overheating of the motor is generally due to:

Affected by external high current shocks, such as abnormal voltage, low-temperature low voltage startup, etc.

Due to the high exhaust temperature, the surface of the exhaust valve plate is carbonized with refrigerant oil.

Due to the large pressure difference between the high and low pressure of the pump body, the blade slots are worn out.

5. Copper shavings entering causes compressor blockage

If the system cleaning is not sufficient, residual copper shavings may enter the interior of the compressor, causing the compressor to stall. Generally, copper shavings can be found in the sediment at the bottom of the compressor casing.

6. Insufficient vacuum degree leads to copper plating on the compressor

The vacuum degree directly affects the water content in the system. The lower the vacuum degree, the less residual water vapor in the system. If the vacuum degree does not meet the standard, a layer of copper film will be formed, which is called "copper plating" phenomenon.

The phenomenon of copper plating can lead to corrosion of copper components, resulting in increased gaps and poor sealing. It can also narrow the diameter of copper capillary components, hinder the flow of refrigerant, affect refrigerant efficiency, and cause defects on the surface of copper components, shorten their lifespan. It can also cause small gaps between the running in surfaces of moving parts, damage the components, and result in poor sealing of the sealing surface.

The reasons for the unqualified vacuum degree are:

Not vacuuming from both high and low pressure sides;

Insufficient suction time;

System leakage;

Vacuum degree exceeding regulations may also result in defects:

Ice blockage of capillaries and expansion valves during heating;

The acidic substances generated will corrode the motor and blade springs, etc;

The oxidation of refrigeration oil intensifies;

Air is a non condensable gas, causing high system pressure and unstable operating conditions;

The exhaust temperature rises.
